This is a great test bench power supply
If you're like me and need to test motherboards that don't require a lot of power draw, this is an excellent power supply for your workbench. This will power most motherboards with a few peripherals. It's small, has extremely clean and accurate power delivery and can be powered from my bench power supply or from a wall adapter. Personally, I power it from my bench power supply. This was a great purchase that I've recommended to friends.

Great DC 12V Pico unit
The PSU came with everything i needed to power up my HTPC. Still working great after 6 months.

Works as expected but DC barrel input jack is poor quality
Unit works well and all voltages are present as expected. But beware that the DC input barrel jack is poor quality and the threaded metal part can easily break off from the plastic body behind it with the contacts.

Beware of Cable Orientation
Seems decently built but has a major flaw I didnt notice until after in-hand. The power and motherboard cables connect to back side of the pcb and point towards RAM on typical ITX motherboard with two RAM slots to the right of the socket. This means that any heatsinked ram is almost certainly too tall for cables to clear without pinching. Even with bare modules the power cable is slightly pinched up by the memory. Ive had a few different model of picos in the past and this seems to be on the higher end of build quailty. If you have a board with memory slots flanking the socket or something with so-dimm this could be a good option. Or if you arent concerned with slight pinching bare ram could work. I'll probably hold on to it at this price and have it if I ever need it.

no electrolytic capacitors means it'll probably last a very long time.
I purchased this to build a new power-supply for my 31 year-old Macintosh LC III. I specifically selected this unit because it has no electrolytic capacitors, whereas several other Pico supplies do. You see, the very reason I had to purchase this power supply is because, after 31 years, the electrolytic capacitors in my Mac's old one had exploded and leaked electrolyte all over the place. To the extent possible, I want to limit my antique electronics to use tantalum capacitors, so they will outlive me, and last a lifetime, as they almost already have.
