Had to buy this because of all the hype. It’s like a cult must-have thing to have on all the VDub forums. And it really is the business. Compact, cleverly packed with its own utensils, and easy to assemble / put away. Most of all the it cooks all sorts of things beautifully and easily, and because for most things you use it “closed” it doesn’t cause a mess or smell up your van. The best bet is to cook on a really low heat - the ridges mean the heat is evenly spread and the oven effect ensures things cook in the middle. Genius, must-have piece of kit.

Love everything about the Ridge Monkey excellent at cooking just about anything and holds way more than you think plus it can split into two. Easy to use and clean, the tools are a great added bonus. Got this for a campervan holiday we tried it at home first and are so impressed. I’m really happy with it it’s the best piece of kit to take away on holiday and so compact too. My partner loves using it as well so we’ll be sharing the cooking now that makes it a winner. Why this isn’t more well known is beyond me!

I got one of these after seeing all of the videos online of the great things you can make with it. As a sandwich toaster its intended purpose it's very good albeit very expensive for just the ability to toast a sandwich! Fortunately it can be used for many other things like small curries, grilling meat or vegetables or even baking a small flat cake. It is versatile and the fact it comes with little tools and that the handles detach and pop inside for a very compact solution is fantastic and the reason I bought the product. The only gripes I have with the design are these: It doesn't seal very well: the videos show people flipping these over with liquid inside no problem however mine has about a 1mm gap around the edge so liquid pours everywhere. The other annoyance is the base - it is textured to presumably help channel some of the heat to the edges of the pan, however due to this and the weight of the handle you really need to put this on a very large flat cooktop or hold it the whole time - not ideal if you only have a very small burner. I do still recommend this as you can cook so many different dishes on it - Some people use these in caravans instead of taking lots of pots and pans and I think it'd be great for this purpose.

I bought this after doing a lot of research as I quite like a cheese toasty with soup at times and having owned the electric Breville sandwich makers which are good but a pain to clean and the George Forman's that either the thermostat goes or the version with the removable plates the non stick starts peeling off at the edges so I decided to look for a manual one. I must say I am impressed with it, cooks toasties extremely well, unclip the handles and pack it away it takes virtually no storage space at all in my cupboards, works well on my ceramic hob and after using it a couple of times I realised that I can also use this for omelettes that I have never mastered being able to flip. All in this is a good buy, not cheap but you do get what you pay for and I just ordered a second one as a Christmas present for a relative that's just retired and bought a camper van.

I kept reading about these as peoples essential equipment for their motorhome. We had got rid of all of our old caravan equipment when we let our van go a few years back, so I was starting from scratch with our new motorhome. I used to have a large wok and a couple of saucepans, however cupboards space is more limited in the Moho, so I began looking at these. 1/ they pack away tiny, the handles come off and are stored inside and the ‘pans are stored in a pouch. 2/ the handles come off… so I can use them in the oven without worry it will melt 3/ 2 frying pans for the price of one 4/ use them together as a closed unit and cooking smells are hugely reduced 5/I’ve cooked whole fry ups using one 6/ the non stick coating really is non stick 7/ easy to clean 8/ excellent toast, so no need for a bulky toaster 9/ fab toasties 10/ comes with its own tools such as spoons and a spatula I absolutely love it so much I bought a second one!!! Well worth the money

Top quality bit of kit as always with Ridgemonkey. I especially like the removable handles ( the main reason for buying it). I've used it too and it's great 👍

Kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht verstehen, unser Toaster funktioniert einwandfrei. Bestes Teil fürs Campen, hatten ihn jetzt, fast täglich 4 Wochen in Schweden im Einsatz, zum Toasten, Eier braten usw., die Beschichtung ist top, kein anhaften und leicht zu reinigen. Geruchsbildung und verformen der Griffe kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, wie gesagt unserer funktioniert top. Hatten lediglich einen Druckknopf eines Griffes verloren, nach Kontakt mit dem Verkäufer sendet er uns kostenlos einen neuen zu, was will man mehr, top Service, Gerne wieder.

ハンドルを外して中に収納できる、携帯性の良い大型両面焼きパンという貴重な製品です。 ホットサンドメーカーとしては別の製品を使っていて、こちらは大型の両面焼きフライパン用途で購入しました。 ・製品写真と違う点 写真ではパン部分におさまるターナー等も付属しているように見えますが、実際の付属品は袋とハンドルのみでした。 ・パン部分の寸法 ざっくり計測ですが縦19cm横20cm深さ2cm(上下合わせて約4cm) 2人前以上の分量を一気に作れるサイズです。 300gの冷凍チャーハン程度はすっぽり入ってしまい、焼き上がりが正方形にならないくらいの余裕があります。 冷凍餃子はサイズにもよりますが15個前後、ハッシュドポテトは3～4枚敷き詰めることができました。 以下は海外のレビューでも指摘されている点ですが、こちらの製品はハンドル部分の作りに難があるので対策など考えた上で購入した方が良いです。 ・ハンドルのボタンが外れる ボタンの接着剤が弱いようです。実際に二度目の使用で片方外れました。 熱に強い接着剤を自前で用意し再接着すれば問題なく使用できるようになります。 わざと外して熱に強い木製のピンに付け替えるのも良さそうです。 ちなみにボタンが外れた状態でも箸などをボタン穴に差して中のバネを押せばハンドル脱着できます(いっそボタンが無い方が調理中安全かも…) ・ハンドル側が重いので重量バランスが悪い 野外調理では五徳のしっかりしたものに載せた方が良いと思います。 実は軽いハンドルを自作するつもりで購入したんですが、ハンドルが重いことで蓋を開けた状態での安定感が良くなっているんですね。 調理中に蓋を開けて何かを追加したりするのにはこちらの方が安心なので、このまま付属のハンドルを使おうと思います。 ・ハンドルのマグネットが弱い 食パンを圧着するレベルの押さえつけは無理ですが、開け閉めの使い勝手的には丁度良い強さです。 これ以上強いと開けるときに力を入れて中身が飛び出るリスクが上がると思います。 元々深さもありますし、そこまでぎゅうぎゅう詰めにすることは考えられていないのでしょう。
