Difficult, but saved me from buying a new washer!
Washer was sounding like a freight train. Finally got the replacement bearing installation right, and the washer seems quieter than when first bought. Installation took me 8 hours and I’m a very handy person. The videos I found online gave me an idea of what needed to be done. For my Whirlpool Duet washer (2009) I removed the door, front bottom cover, top cover, and back cover. I didn’t remove the control panel or any of the parts towards the top of the washer. Take pictures of everything to help you remember how to reassemble. It would have been a little easier removing the three concrete weights before removing the tub. Also important is to note how much of the threaded tub shaft is exposed with the flywheel nut installed before removal (I’ll get back to this). I used a two jaw bearing puller (Harbor Freight) to remove the smaller exterior bearing. I used the claws of a hammer to remove the old seal, and an impact socket to bang out the larger interior bearing. The bearing set comes with three bearings but my tub only needed two. I reassembled everything and when I put on the flywheel nut, I thought the threaded shaft wasn’t protruding as much as originally, but since the impact wrench wasn’t turning the nut anymore, I left it that way. The tub turned fine after installing, but on the first run, it was quiet at first, but then developed a sound of something hitting another part (clicking sound). Took the back off and hit the flywheel nut with the impact wrench and the threaded shaft became more exposed. I noted that when I spun it by hand, it slowed down faster (not good). Did another wash load and it started to smell and even smoke a bit. Really not good. Took the back off again and loosened the flywheel nut and then tightened it just a little after it made contact. Washer ran great with that last adjustment. Thus my recommendation to note how much the threaded shaft is exposed before disassembly so you can tighten after reassembly to the same spot. This bearing replacement saved me a new washer / dryer set! 10 hours (total) was well worth it!

Worked perfect, grease in a small tube was great!
The kit was in a nice box, individually wrapped. The grease in a small tube was perfect and worked very well. The bearing large and small were just what I needed for our Kenmore Elite HE3t. The seal felt well made and also fit in nicely. I did not need the third bearing. Price was fantastic and the part came quickly even during the pandemic. Thank you!

Perfect for Kenmore HE3T
Great kit, plenty of grease came with it. Very snug fit for drum spindle, had to push down with a good bit of force and shift it about so it snapped into place, nice and snug, working great.

Fixed bearings on Maytag 3000 Series MHWE300VW12
I watched several videos about how to replace the bearings on the Maytag washer. I decided during lockdown that I would give the replacement a try. I had already decided that I would buy a new washer dryer set if I failed. It took me about 12 hours over five days to change the bearings. I had to order a new tub seal that took 2 days. Bingo. It worked. The washer was silent during the spin cycle. After two weeks, the noise was back. The bearings failed. There is a possibility that I installed the bearings incorrectly, although I don't think this is the problem. I contacted the seller and they quickly sent me a new set of bearings. BTW, the bearings come with an extra very large bearing. So I took the tub apart and replaced the 2nd set of bearings in 3 hours. I had help from my wife and son lifting the tub out. Other than that, I am confident I can do the replacement with similar tubs. I returned the old bearings to the seller. I asked - how is the tube of grease used? The first response was 'look at youtube videos.' I did and nobody showed using grease except to help insert the bearings. I did this on the first and second sets of bearings. When I went to install the second set, the seller said 'lift the rubber and I can pack the bearings with grease.' Well, that was too late. Besides, there was already grease in the bearings. I should mention there are no instructions in the box even though the box was nicely packaged. So the washer is running fine again. I hope it doesn't fail. I hope the lack of packing more grease isn't the problem. Thanks to the seller for helping me. If the bearings work over the next months, I will change this to 5 STARS. Updated: June 30, 2020, Working great. No noise. I updated it to 5 stars. Updated Dec 11, 2020, Back to 3 stars. Bearings failed. The washer is super loud again on rinse. Factory-installed bearings lasted almost 15 years. The online replacements are not lasting a year. I ordered a replacement set made in Japan from another seller at 2x the price. They are stainless steel inside and out and are supposed to not rust, The XiKe made in China bearings are not stainless. I tried two sets, both rusted and failed. Now I have to take the tub apart a 3rd time. Updated Dec 22, 2020. I took the washer apart. The XiKe bearings and seal all appear to have failed. The smaller bearing rubber side was dislodged. The large bearing and seal were rusted out. Both bearings were grinding when turned with my finger. I have installed the Nachi bearings from another seller that provides a five-year warranty. These were 2x the price, but they are stainless steel, rated for 10x the speed of a washer and thousands of pounds. The seller says they can be used in an automobile. I installed the new bearings and the washer is purring again. I hope they last. I added pictures of the failed XiKe bearings next to the new Nachi Japanese bearings.

Older Kenmore elite washer tub
Received and then installed on my older Kenmore washer machine was easy enough but the belt that came with the kit was not a perfect match so I had to use the old one! But washing machine has a second life now and works just like new

This was hard to install but I expected it to be after the job was completed the bearings were quite and the seal didn’t leak so my washer is fixed.

18 months of use review. After about 18 months the bearings wear screaming!!!
Update after 18 months: bearings started getting noisy at high spin then within a few more uses the bearings were screaming. I decided with all the work putting in those parts and age of washer to replace to the whole unit. I don't think that the bearings were damaged when installed because they lasted 18 months. Changed my rating to a 2 star. Original review below: This was supposed to be an exact replacement kit for my washer model but the kit came with another odd bearing not use by my machine. 2 out of the 3 bearing were correct and fine as far as I could tell. It just was confusing when the kit had a small bearing also in it so it had me looking for a location if any for it to be installed. If you have some mechanical abilities then you shouldn't have to much trouble replacing them unless the old ones were super rusted up in place. I spent an extra hour or so trying to remove the old bearings. I replaced the bearings and seal in tube, shocks, belt and springs as well. My machine was again running smoothly and much quieter. This is the 1st problem with this Whirlpool large capacity 14 year HE old front loader. It has been a very reliable machine and was worth the try to salvage/repair it. The cost was not much for all the wear parts I replaced.
