Not perennial, but absolutely a wonderful flowering vine!
I planted these, thinking they were perennial, but they aren’t. Regardless of that, I turned out being pleasantly surprised. I planted six seeds, and as you can see by the photos, these things germinated and grew like crazy! Then, after about 6-8 weeks ( I planted in late spring- zone 6) and one day I noticed little red trumpet flowers. Then, they started blooming like crazy! The flowers just keep coming now for several weeks. Each flower lasts a few days, and I absolutely love them on my archway. Next year I plan to plant more around in different places because I am so thrilled with them. The color of the flowers is a wonderful red, and the amount of seeds you get will last for a long time if preserved correctly. Either way, it’s a lot of bang for your buck.

Sprouted quickly.
I place and press gently and the seeds come up. These can be invasive. I have them planted in pots in a bed in the center of the yard. My husband loves to wind them around the trellis - helping them along in their climb. We live in Zone 6 and a friend in Zone 5 had a problem with them.

Planted and they popped right up.

Starting off well
Getting fairly decent germination after soaking them first in warm filtered water. I'll try to add to this once they start blooming!

Vine cardinal creeper
Beautiful vining cardinal creeper climbs over anything close by: a string or a trellis. Puts out beautiful red flowers. Very easy to grow and grows like crazy. Grows in a container very easily and I put a 6 for metal trellis inside and they climbed over every inch of the trellis.

Didn't Grow/Germinate
Not one seed grew and I started them inside first.
