Can i use this controller to set up led pixels like ws2811

This is a DMX controller I would recommend if you are going to use pixel lights or pixel screens to use a computer-based software as it allows you to do much more and is more accurate. And whereas you're using individually addressable pixels  you will not be able to get each address assigned correctly using this device you will need a pixel controller. Just do an Amazon search and you'll see a bunch of them come up  there are different prices for  different features  you can get some for $10 or you could spend $300  it depends on what you're looking for personally I had a very bad experience with this device I wound up having to send it back because of a major malfunction within the circuitry. I did eventually purchase a American DJ DMX controller

Is this rack mount able

It is rack mountable, fits a 19" rack, remove the plastic sides (held by 4 screws). It does not fit in a road case like the Harmony Cases HC19MIX04, The frame is just a little larger than other controllers and you can't put the lid on, but it will go on a rack, it has holes for it

Trying to use this to program approx 6 lights for a spring musical on a small stage. Can I fade to black? Does this work for stage light?

I will try to answer... In manual mode yes you can fade to black, there is a fade time adjustment in the auto run but I haven't messed with it. If your Stage light set up is DMX addressable the answer is, Yes it will work provided you are addressed properly. Be sure to address you fixtures and program you scenes for the function you want. Lights that have different functions need to be separated in the addressing/Scenes . I hope this makes sense. Your manuals for the light fixtures and for the board will help with programing. it is not just plug and play.
