I described putting up this swing while reviewing the compression springs that I used on it. We rented a VRBO in Colorado and the house had this swing. We liked it so much that I found it, on Amazon, and bought it. It came really well packaged. The instructions were good but I did make one mistake that was easily fixable. I just backed up to where I went off track and did it correctly. Once together, the swing is light but very sturdy. I really like the real wood. Yes, real wood, slats. I would recommend cleaning the slats with soap and water to remove any stain that did not absorb into the wood. After this, I would recommend treating the wood slats with your favorite wood polish, tongue oil, or something similar. It looks good and is comfortable. I do recommend using a couple of compression springs on it. We threw a couple of simple pillows on it and it's ready to go. I do recommend this swing and the price is great.

This is a great buy. I've been looking for a decently priced, lightweight, nice looking swing for quite sometime. This is it, I guarantee you will like it. Yes, you do need to put it together, but the instructions, while a bit sketchy, do tell you exactly what to do. Follow the instructions exactly, and in an hour, or maybe a bit more, you will have it put together. Some of you may be able to put it together quicker, I just like to take my time and do things right the first time. Pros: Lightweight (I was able to carry it by myself with straining). Easy to assemble. Well made. Good price. Cons: So far the one thing I see as a con is that the metal parts are just painted. Powder coating would have been better; however, the price would have been higher. Oh yes, I weigh around 215ish, my spouse around 125ish, and it holds us just fine. I wouldn't put more than two adults on this. Three maybe if they were all lightweights.

I'm a big fan of this swing, having used it for over 7 years now on our outdoor, covered patio. It was very straightforward to assemble, all of the hardware being included in the kit. Living in Houston, with high, humid temps and lots of rain has meant that I've had to paint and treat the wood twice already, about typical for an outdoor wood product in the humid South. Buyers in New Mexico will probably have far less maintenance, for that very reason. I'd recommend treating the wood, before installation, with Hellman's Urethane or something like that. I sure wish I would have. Anyway, the hardware has held up over time, no real rust or anything like that. I have lost several nuts over the years, which were easily replaced at Lowes in about 10 minutes. With proper care it'll last for years.

We purchased this swing to hang under a deck in our backyard. We wanted something that would be a bit less bland than an unfinished basically square sort of "blah" swing. I liked the natural wood look of this item in the pictures on Amazon and the way that there is a bit more of a handcrafted look to the back of the swing. I was a little concerned about something this heavy shipping directly to our house because I could just envision the beating that the box would take in transit. My worries were unfounded. The swing parts were packaged very well and effectively. I found the box on the porch and discovered that it wasn't so heavy that I couldn't drag it into the house by myself. Our two high school aged boys actually took the swing out of the box and put it together. That's how simple the instructions were. They also had it installed and attached to the underside of our second story deck within a short period of time. As noted in other reviews, this was a project that took an afternoon to complete. In our case, the swing was installed with all of the hardware included directly in the box. I love the feel and look of the wood. We may purchase a cushion to utilize during the summer months, but so far we have found that the seat is very comfortable with no additional padding needed. We love this swing!

I thought I could assemble this and immediately hang it. That was not the case because the wood is not finished. It's stained but no protective finish. There were lengthy instructions enclosed that explained what to buy and how to clear coat the wood. If I had known I had to do this I might have bought another swing. However, with that said it is a well made swing and was not difficult to assemble. It looks great and I know now it's weather protected for a few years.

I was a little skeptical about the quality because of the price, but it's actually a very nice, sturdy swing. The swing is easy to assembly, but you must have the tools to do it, such as the proper wrench or socket size. Don't over tighten the nuts or the slats will crack. The included chain is very sturdy. As the directions recommend, the wooden slats should be stained for added protection, especially if the swing will be exposed to rain. It's best to do this prior to assembly. I used an oil based, semitransparent stain of similar color as the slats and the results look great.

I was surprised at how inexpensive this patio swing was compared to others I've seen. "There has to be somewhere they cut corners to get to that price," I said. Still, the low cost was too tempting to pass up and I took the plunge. And honestly? This is a pretty good patio swing. It's nice-looking, well designed, and it feels sturdy. I'm quite enjoying it so far! I did figure out where they achieved the cost savings, however: it's in the wood. The boards feel cheap and light, and as many as 60% of the boards arrived covered in tiny splinters. After sitting on it for the first time, I got up feeling like I was sensei to some ninja turtles. That said, the frame is sturdy enough that it compensates for the insubstantiality of the boards--and as for the splinters, sandpaper is cheap. After 45 minutes sanding this sucker down (remember to sand length-wise, with the grain!) I'm left with few complaints. With that little extra effort, this is quite a good swing for the price.

My wife had been wanting a front porch swing so I bought this for her as a Mother's Day gift. She loves it and it looks great on our front porch. The wood has a nice tone to it and the curved bottom is very comfortable. This swing is a nice mix between classic and modern design. Many of the swings I found had a "country" feel to them which is really not our style so I was glad to find this more updated design. Installation was fairly easy, about an hour or so. It included nice quality eye-bolts as well as the chains to hang it. I also purchased the comfort springs found in Amazon's "other buyers also purchased..." display and would recommend you do the same for maximum enjoyment. The instructions recommend adding a protective stain for longevity which I have not yet done but will. I really like the wood grain and color so I'll likely coat it with a clear matte polyurethane.

My mom loves this swing! Actually, the whole family does. My mom and I love swinging with my two daughters.

Good value. Easy to put together and install.

Came quickly and looks great on the swing frame. We've had many comments from friends as to how wonderful it looks.

The swing is good however came with no instructions for installation, there are missing parts (ie. eye hooks for pulling the chain through to attach it to the swing itself) and there were multiple wood slats that were so roughly cut, you can't even fine sand them without taking the stain off. The entire piece was supposed to come finished, yet the wood is very rough. Very disappointed.
