The product really worked ... but the instructions are poor
I got this kit several months ago for my Indian Chieftain, and today was the first time I had to use the product. I've had motorcycles for almost 40 years and had a puncture only once in the all that time -- needing to use one of those old plug kits with glue and CO2 canisters. I bought this kit because it looked durable, the concept (mushroom plug) looked promising and of course... the positive reviews. So today... I was in this little town 70 miles from home for a rest stop and when I left, I was immediately notified by the bike computer that the pressure was less than 19 psi :( I rode back to the gas station, checked the rear tire and sure enough -- there was a small hole but no nail or screw. I got the kit out and the first thing I noticed is the instructions have these very small pictures that accompany the text, crammed into one page -- which are way too small to see what is being discussed. The text is fine but you need good pictures to properly understand the process of the repair. This was one big mistake I made -- I should have reviewed the instructions (and the video) to understand how to use the kit before I actually needed (instead of buying and tossing into the side bag). It's also a mistake the vendor needs to correct -- put larger pictures in the instructions and it will be a lot easier to implement the repair. After 10 mins of fiddling, I finally figured out what to do and the kit worked exactly as I hoped and expected. There were no issues using the silicone plugs and they worked like a champ! I pumped the tire up to 41 psi and watched to ensure it didn't slowly leak (it didn't), then rode home -- the 70+ miles and monitoring the tire pressure screen on the bike -- the tire pressure didn't drop below the 41 psi I put into the tire -- awesome! I think the kit is great, the tools are good quality and the process was easy (once you figure it out). They just need to correct the instructions. And if you do purchase it, make sure you know how to use it before you need it.

Works well.
Used this twice now. Once on a car and once on truck tire. Both have held with no leaks for several months now.

Only tire plug kit will I ever use again - Don't forget to add pliers
Got a nail in my tire. My old strip plugs were dried out and I was going to order this a while ago so I figured it was time to try it. High-quality sturdy reamer, unlike most kits where the handle breaks this one feels like it will last the rest of my life. Unlike normal patch kits that are like 3 steps this one has many steps to follow but just watch the 1-minute video on youtube and it makes it pretty clear what you need to do. The only thing they don't mention is how easily that big mushroom head slides into the tire. I was concerned the plug was not in because it required almost no force to set. Very different from having to use your whole body to get a strip plug in and then it not staying in unless you yank it the right way. Might order more kits to keep in all my vehicles so I am never without them. Negatives: It is a self-contained kit with everything you need even a razor to trim the plug, but there are no pliers to pull out the nail. If they included pliers it would be the perfect kit with everything you need. The instructions even start off with "use the pliers to remove the nail". I can see people getting this pulling over somewhere that has air, not having pliers, and still being unable to fix the puncture.

3 minute flat fix without removing the tire.
This is the 4th or 5th time I've used this thing. First time was an old trailer tire. Do not run the reamer all the way through. It's stepped and you only need the smaller bit to go into the air chamber. Have put thousands of miles on multiple tires with these in them now. There's no glue, so it's not a "permanent repair". You can pull them apart if you pull too hard. And like I said leave the hole as small as possible. But it definitely works, easily.

Don’t buy!
Back in the mid 1960s I worked in service station for several years when attending college. The proprietor had a device that was similar to this one in that there was an inserting tool and the plugs had a serious circular arrow head on the end of the rubber shaft. He would clean the hole well, put the plug in the insertion device with some sort of liquid on it that acted as a lubricant and ultimately a sealant. The end of the insertion tool was positioned over the hole in the tire and with arm and hand muscle only was manually inserted in the tire by pressing on the handle of the insertion device which drove the plug into the tire. When he withdrew the insertion tool the rubber plug stayed in the tire. He then pulled on the plug to be sure the inside of the head of the plug was tight with the inside surface of the tire. He then cut off the stem of the rubber plug so it was perfectly flush with the outer surface of the tire. The tire was fixed. Didn’t have to remove the wheel from the car and IT DIDN’T LEAK. The whole process took less than five minutes. So, having seen the Gran Pitstop product I thought it would be similar. NOT SO. THe plugs are small and greasy. The insertion method doesn’t work. And in the video I watched, the person using the Gran Pitstop product was happy because the plug he installed only lost 1 pound of air per hour after he was done. Apparently this is not a final tire leak solution. When I tried it, I could not get the rubber plug to push through the insertion device and they usually ripped as well. This is a fairly complex system to accomplish nothing. It doesn’t work. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AS I DID.

Works for a temp fix
The plug hole you have to make is rather large. It is not a permanent solution but it works. I wish the mushroom head was larger. As stated in other reviews, it can get you by but check for leaks.

Excellent. I will put a kit in each of my vehicles
Just last week as the first time hi had to use the kit. I had a screw in my motorcycle tire during a 1000 mile trip. The way the kit is designed I hardly lost any air in my tire and was able to continue riding after a 15 minute repair. Most of that time was spent reading instructions but once you understand the sequence, repairing the tire is easy. I was back in the road in no time without having to refill the tire until the next fuel stop.

Good quality and sturdy & easy to use.
I liked the repair kit. It is very innovative product. Mashroom puncture is good but can be done only in repair shops. That too require complete tyre removal and balancing afterwards. It is time consuming and costly. This kit does that job quickly anywhere. As far as the quality is concern, it is heavy and made up or pure metal. No plastic parts apart from handles. It looks like the kit will have a long life and will be durable.

Gutes Not Set.. einfach und schnell!
