Good quality mold

I made 2 panettone’s. Since I only had one mold, I made one with the mold and one without. The one I made without a mold ended up falling apart when resting upside down as the recipes calls for. So I purchased a 2nd one. I will never make a panettone without a mold again and I highly recommend this one. Worked perfectly!

I bought this to make a Panatone for my Italian father-in-law. I conferred with my wife and HIM that he liked Panatone. He said the more fruit the better. SO, I made one for him on Christmas. I brought it out him a slice and he devoured it. I asked him if he wanted any to take home since there was plenty left. He said it tasted like his mothers, but he refused to take any home. He's always been kind of jerk, but what the hell. To add insult to injury, the Panatone sat on the counter for a week with my wife and kids saying it looked great, but didn't eat any. (Oh yeah, Panatone is not my thing) Then, my wife threw it away and the bottom plate was still on it and she threw it away with the Panatone. So now I have just the cylinder, not bottom and a still ungrateful father-in-law. But it worked just fine.

I don’t make panettone that often, but I really couldn’t justify paying almost as much for the paper molds. This spring mold pan is both practical and easy to use. I just wish it had been a bit deeper.

I was looking very long time for exactly that size, I like to bake my own Easter bread. Ideal size and good quality.
