The Original Schmidt concrete rebound test hammer was invented by Proceq and introduced to the market in the early 1950's. Since that time it has become the world’s first and most widely used instrument for non-destructive estimation of concrete strength and also properties of asphalt, mortar, and rock. The Original Schmidt Concrete Test Hammer measures the rebound value R which has a specific relationship to the hardness and strength of concrete.
Use is simple, just position the hammer perpendicular to and against the test surface. Push the hammer against the surface at moderate speed until the impact is triggered. The rebound value R is read from the position of the pointer on the scale.
The Original Schmidt Concrete Test Hammer is made in Switzerland. The high strength aluminum housing provides the durability for this hammer to perform reliably for many years. High quality and tight tolerance during manufacture also allow this hammer to be the most precise and reliable concrete test hammer on the market.
